OSHA Inspections and New Citation Structure
The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the December program -- Preparing for an OSHA Inspection & a Review of OSHA's New Citation Structure -- on Friday, December 11. The keynote speaker will be Scott Cole, Northern Ohio Safety Director, Turner Construction Company. Cole is a board certified safety professional (CSP), LEED Green Associate as well as a certified Occupational Safety specialist (COSS). He holds certifications from Ohio University, Ohio State University and Texas A&M University. His safety experience includes work in manufacturing, government and construction. He currently works full time for Turner Construction Company as the Northern Ohio Business Unite Safety Director, but he also is a safety consultant and an active volunteer, supporting the safety profession. His presentation on Friday, December 11 will include information on: ---2016 OPSHA Penalty Structure (a review and discussion) ---Questions such as: When Can I Expect an OSHA Inspection ---Preparing for an OSHA Inspection ---Handling an OSHA Inspection (the Do's & Don'ts) ---and, Closing From an Inspection Cole has served as the director of the Lake County Safety Council from 2008-2011, and served on the board of directors from 2004-2011. He is the past regional vice president of the American Society of Safety Engineers and currently serves on the Northern Ohio Chapter's executive committee. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
