Just In Time for Summer - Heat Stress & Related Issues

The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the June program --- Heat Stress and Related Safety Issues -- on Friday, June 20.

The keynote speaker will be Guido Jannetti, Preparedness, Health & Safety Services Professional, American Red Cross.

Jannetti started at the American Red Cross 10 years ago and at various times has directed all services except blood services. Jannetti served 15 years a a nationally registered paramedic, and has been a health and safety training instructor at both the lay and professional levels.

The program will:

---discuss the importance of hydration

---relate important educational elements, including heat index forecasts

---discuss knowing the warning signs of heat illness and heat related emergencies

---and reinforce the importance of quick action and identifying warning signs

The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m.

The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Reservations may be made online at the LCSC web site listed below.
