Safety Issues and the Aging Work Force

The Lake County Safety Council is proud to host Dr. Nancy Rodway from Lake Health, who will discuss "The Aging Work Force and Its Related Safety Issues."

She will address issues regarding "the good, the bad and the costs of the aging workforce."

Additionally she will discuss "urban legend and environmental safety OR does your cell phone really cause brain cancer...and other environmental risks."

Rodway is an Akron native and is board certified in occupational and preventive medicine.

She is a graduate of Ohio State University and the University of Pennsylvania. She is the medical director of Lake Health Occupational Services.

The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m.

The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members, and reservations may be made online at the LCSC web site listed below.

Lake Co.Chambers Workers Compensation Seminars

The Lake County Chambers of Commerce, along with CompManagement, is offering two workers compensation seminars.

These seminars are on Friday, Oct.19 and Friday, Nov. 2, and they do count for external meeting credit for the Lake County Safety Council.

The Oct. 19 seminar is at the Elks Lodge, 723 Liberty Street, Painesville, and begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Nov. 2 seminar is at Dino's Restaurant, 4145 State Route 306, Willoughby, and begins at 1 p.m.

The Oct.19 seminar runs until 11:30 a.m. and the Nov. 2 seminar runs until 4 p.m.

The seminars will address issues such as:
