OSHA Record Keeping - Are You Ready?

The steering committee for the Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the January program ---  OSHA Record Keeping: Are You Ready for 2023?  -  with keynote speaker Scott Cole, CSP, SMS, LEED GA, Business Unit and EH&S Director, Turner Construction.

The Thursday, January 19 luncheon program at Cater to You Catering (Father Kline Social Center - St. John Vianney, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mnetor) is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration begins as 11:15 a.m. This training event is provided to you by the LCSC steering committee.

The program is aimed at presenting a brief overview and review of relevant OSHA Record Keeping requirements and responsibilities.

OSHA requires employers (who are required to keep OSHA logs) to post their OSHA summary (Form 300A) during the required posting period (February 1 thru April 30- if there are workers at the company's physical establishment) for the prior calendar year. The summary log must be posted on premises where all employees/visitors can readily view the document.

Cole plans to include some incident photos to help reinforce the message that, understanding recordkeeping criteria and assuring proper case management can save recordables.

Cole, an environmental, health and safety director at Turner Construction Company, is a board certified safety professional (CSP), as well as a certified safety management specialist (SMS). He graduated from Kent State University with a degree in business management and business administration. He has a certification from Ohio University in Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene. Cole has significant safety experience in the manufacturing and government related fields and also is an independent safety consultant.

SAVE THE DATE: Thursday, January 19, 2023.
