When a Regulatory Inspector Comes Calling - To Panic-or Not To Panic

The steering committee for the Lake County Safety Council is proud to announce the August LCSC program ... When a Regulatory Inspector Comes Calling  --  To Panic-or Not To Panic, with keynote speaker Glorianna L. Corman.

LCSC programs will continue to be on the third Thursday of every month (unless otherwise noted) and will be organized in a luncheon format from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m..

ALSO Returning is the participation rebate of 2 percent for companies that are enrolled in a safety council and attend a minimum of 10 meetings. The semi-annual report has been eliminated, the CEO attendance requirement has been eliminated and there are no group rating eligibility distinctions - the 2 percent rebate is for all eligible employers.

The August meeting is on Thursday, August 18 at The LaVera Meeting & Event Center. This is the first time the LCSC has hosted the meeting at LaVera, 32200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills, OH 44094.

Corman (the speaker) will be discussing: What To do When A Regulatory Inspector Shows Up.

She will be addressing questions such as:

-- Do you have all the required documents they are looking for?

-- Are the documentes all in one place and ready to go? (or are they spread around the facility)?

-- Do you even know what they (the inspectors) are looking for?

Corman is among KPA's team of environmental, health and safety risk management consultants who audit workplace conditions and safety programs; conduct on-site EHS compliance training and safety committee meetings; and assist with the management, tracking and reporting of EHS issues.

Among her accomplishments last year she exhibited strong leadership and expertise on a national and local level. She served a second term as president of the Central Ohio Certified Hazardous Materials Managers; as the chair of the Ohio BWC Safety Congress Planning Committee and served as a member of the Grove City Environmental Sustainability Committee.

During her presentation she also will discuss: What the different agencies (and inspectors) are that could potentially show up at your facility and what the differences are between them.
